SOCIO-ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED GROUPS CELL
For the Academic Year 2025-26
The Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Groups (SEDG) Cell is established as per UGC guidelines
to promote inclusive education and support students from underprivileged backgrounds. It
functions independently to ensure equitable access to academic resources, institutional
support, and developmental opportunities.
The Cell, headed by the principal and senior faculty members, includes faculty, administrators,
and student representatives. Its key roles include academic support, scholarship guidance,
mentorship, counselling, remedial classes, skill development, career initiatives, and
grievance redressal.
Through regular monitoring, workshops, and outreach activities, the SEDG Cell promotes social
equity, inclusiveness, and the overall academic progress and well-being of students.
