About SEMT!

Shurparaka Educational and Medical Trust, is well known for its Academic excellence in Palghar District. It was created in 1984 by a bank of likeminded, dedicated and sincere friends from sopara village with a motto.

Under the stewardship and guidance of its founding President (late) Mr. Ridwan B. Harris and the architect of the Trust and its founding General Secretary and Managing Trustee, (late ) Mr. Anwar Munshi , the Trust made big strides in the field of education in a short span of time and soon started managing institutions form Nursery to Jr. College . From 80 students in 1985, the trust boasts of around 3000 students now in different institution that it runs.

Our Journey

Year 1984

With a concept “SERVICE FOR ALL WITH SELFLESSNESS AND DEDICATION” created a Trust ,named as Shurparaka Educational & Medical Trust.

Year 1994

In 1994, the Trust started Junior College of Arts and Commerce. Ridwan B. Harris Junior College of Arts, Commerce and Science was born.

Year 2004

Trust started a SEMT College of Arts and Commerce, in the school building.The college was named as Moinuddin B. Harris College of Arts.

Year 2006

Under the leadership of new President, Dr. Zahir I. Kazi. The trust reached new heights. A foundation was laid for college building.
