7.1.1 Measures initiated by the Institution for the promotion of gender equity during the year.

The institution puts sincere efforts to promote gender equity and sensitization in several activities. The percentage of female students has increased gradually since its inception and presently there are 514 female students out of 1159 students. Out of total 17 full time faculty members, there are female faculty members.

Out of total 37 departments, 30 departments are headed by female faculty members.

Anti ragging committee monitors and ensures women safety in the college campus.

WDC Committee organizes awareness campaigns on Female health issues. Also International Women's Day and National Girl Child Day is celebrated every year by WDC Dept.

Gender sensitization webinar taken on 9/4/2021 by Anupama Gawade mam by WDC Department in collaboration with DLLE Department

Female students are encouraged to participate in all co-curricular and extra curricular activities.

Female staff members are appreciated by management and principal with token of love every year on Womens Day.

On 28/11/2020 Webinar on Domestic violence was Conducted by WDC and NSS Department by Geeta pal

Webinar on cyber crime was headed by Kanchan pal on 7/12/2020

Awareness on Anti ragging was taken by shahida shaikh on 7/10/2020

On 2/4/2021 Intercollegiate Essay writing competition was organized on

Hindi Kavita lekhan (Poem writing) was conducted to encourage female students on 3/12/2020 by Hindi Dept

Special Facilities provided for women in terms of :

  1. Gender Awareness sessions are conducted regularly.
  2. The institute has CCTV surveillance system throughout the campus for safety and security purposes.
  3. There is a Girls Commom room, with dedicated washrooms having sanitary napkins.
  4. Regular counseling sessions are conducted by Dr Danish in regards to mental health
  5. An effective mentoring system is in place, wherein every faculty has been allotted with 30 students. The faculty members are called as mentors for students taking care of their emotional as well as social development along with helping them resolve study related issues.
