In order to develop the fullest potential of all students, the colleges need to provide them opportunities to pursue a variety of avenues to success. Student-centered education supports this goal by placing the focus of education on learning and the needs of students. The colleges need to fully understand these requirements and translate them into appropriate curricula. Therefore, student-centered education is a strategic concept that demands constant sensitivity to the changing and emerging needs of the students, the stakeholders, the market requirements and to the factors that bring about student learning, satisfaction and persistence. So, the most important task of colleges is to prepare the problem-solving skills in the students. In today's college education there is urgent requirement of a strong future orientation and a willingness to make a long-term commitment to students. Therefore, colleges should anticipate many factors of evolution such as changes in educational requirements and instructional approaches, resource availability, students' expectations, new partnership opportunities, workforce development ant technological development and work upon them. Moreover colleges should stress ethical behaviour in all students' transactions and interactions. This will help to ensure that the plans and actions of colleges meet different students' need; and help them achieve their goals. The use of a balanced approach by the colleges may provide a clear basis for an all round development of the student-community.

Students' participation in Quality Assurance indicates the total involvement of students in ensuring and delivering quality in Higher Education. Improvement of Quality Education is possible only if the Quality of the learning process is of a higher standard. Students' involvement in the development and maintenance of quality of Higher Education enriches the campus life. It is a fact that students are active participants in creating an environment conducive to innovation and development. Students can be involved not only in assessing the quality of the learning experience and the environment in higher educational institutions, but also in reviewing programmes, and evolving grievance redressal procedures regarding quality issues.

It is true that "we shape our students and afterward; they shape us". To help students realize their full potential during and after their studies is not the end of the process of education. Quality Assurance and sustenance is not just limited to one generation alone but is a continuous on-going, process. The test of students' progression is not in the availability of support services in higher educational institutions, instead on their quality of performance. Arguments are made that many students do not take advantage of the support services provided to them. The reason may be a lack of information or a failure to comprehend & absorb information about the benefits.

Let INDIA not be a mere follower in the field of education - but a leader. The teachers need to gear up and be determined for the gigantic task ahead. Let them be seekers of knowledge lifelong and become an indispensable part of advanced studies, speculation and research. Let the teacher become a true friend, philosopher and guide to the student, share alike the duties and responsibilities, rights and privileges, problems and grievances and join hands towards a common goal. When such an attitudinal change takes place, Quality Education would not remain a distant dream, rather turn into a Concrete Reality!
